Wallie passed away on Thursday May 15, 2025 at Parkside Manor, surrounded by her family.
Wallie met the love of her life Cecil Henry while he was serving in The US Army, stationed in Germany. When Cecil’s time was done in Germany they both came to Wisconsin. They were united in marriage on September 2, 1960 at Friedens Lutheran Church. Once settled in Kenosha, WI Wallie was determined to make her way about town, she taught herself how to drive and even drove herself to the DMV to take & pass her Driving test, she also was determined to pass one more test, her citizenship test, on September 6, 1966 she did just that and became a US Citizen.
Throughout her life she was employed at MacWhyte for over 30 years, during that time she also was a waitress at Oge Thompson’s & Ray Radigan’s. She enjoyed taking spur of the moment family trips with her two children Randy and Trish on a whim and hitting the road to where ever they decided while driving. Wallie cherished the time she had with the ladies from St. Peter’s Renew group.
Wallie’s most favorite chapter in life was being Oma to her grandsons AJ & Andrew. She loved spending time with them and spoiling them as needed, always making sure they had everything they needed.
Wallie is survived by her Son, Randy (Shawn) Henry, Grandsons AJ Johnson & Andrew Henry. She was preceded in death by her husband Cecil Henry, parents Jakob & Karolina Schmidt, daughter Patricia “Trish” Henry, and brother Manfred Schmidt (Germany).
Wallie was blessed to also have her chosen family in the US, The Mico Family was truly a blessing to Wallie, Cecil & Trish.
Although we will miss her deeply, we take comfort in the fact that she is home in Heaven with her loved ones that preceded her in death.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Wallie will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church (2224 30th Ave) on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, at 11 A.M. A visitation will also take place at church from 10 A.M. until the time of Mass. Burial at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park will follow the services. In lieu of flowers memorials to the family are appreciated.
