June 23, 1952 – December 16, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Thomas J. Pecha, who left us on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on June 23, 1952, to the late James and Irene Pecha. He attended Tremper High School. Thomas was a beloved father, friend, and a gentle soul who touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
On August 4, 1973, he married Elizabeth “Betty” Ann Goroski. They enjoyed many years together before her passing in 1998.
Thomas was employed for many years at American Brass as a furnace builder. He also worked at St. Joseph’s nursing home and at JI Case in Racine.
Thomas lived a life rich with simple joys, investing himself deeply in the activities he loved. He spent many hours fishing on Wisconsin lakes, canning fruits and vegetables, listening to country music, and playing his harmonica. He shared his laugh with everybody during family gatherings and loved to share stories at the kitchen table. Whether he was watching the Packers, Bucks, or Brewers games or enjoying spirited conversations about his favorite teams, Thomas had a way of bringing people together, fostering connections that will endure beyond his years.
Thomas leaves behind his cherished daughter, Carrie (Jerry) Smith; grandsons, Gerald, Wyatt, and Ernie Smith; and his siblings, Ron, Jimmy, Dick, Ray, Jane, and Sheila.
In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Pecha; granddaughter Abbey Smith, and his siblings Eugene, Lavonne, Janet, Carlene, John, Kurt, and Brenda.
Tom appreciated simplicity, so we invite you to dress in casual attire.
Interment will be held privately.
