It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Alan Woodbury. Tom passed away on Tuesday, October 7th, 2025, with his children at his side. He was 84 years old.
Born in Kenosha, WI on October 29, 1940, the son of Elbert and Julia (Brokaw) Woodbury. He was educated in the Kenosha Unified School System, graduating from Mary D. Bradford High School in 1959. Then Gateway Technical College with an Associate of Applied Science Degree in Marketing-Materials Management.
He married his high school sweetheart, Matilde A. Belmonte in Kenosha at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church on June 9th, 1962.
Tom was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, past president of the Holy Name Society, long-time usher, and member of the Mount Carmel choir.
He was employed at American Motors / Chrysler Corporation for 31 years in the International Division and Production Planning Offices. After his retirement from Chrysler in 1990, he was employed by J. I. Case in Racine and All American Products in Gurnee, IL. He finished his career as Manager of Purchasing at Clarin, a division of Greenwich Industries in Lake Bluff, IL, for 12 years. Retiring in July of 2007.
Tom was a loving husband and father, devoted to his children and grandchildren. Along with his wife and later with their grandchildren took many trips to Matilde’s hometown in Italy.
To our beloved Papa, we’ll miss you every day for the rest of our lives. We have so many favorite memories with you. Close to our hearts, we hold our Saturday ice skating lessons, swimming lessons, movie nights, trips to Culver’s, and driving lessons. We were so lucky to have had the best Papa. We will always carry your love, the most precious gift, in our hearts. We love you to pieces, Papa. All our love- Lauren, Amy, Megan, Nicole, and Andrew.
He is survived by daughter Pamela Smith (Ken Sajnaj), son Thomas (Sherry) Woodbury and grandchildren, Lauren (Alex) Totts, twins Amy (Jacob) Marty and Megan Smith (Hunter Cook), Nicole Woodbury and Andrew Woodbury, brother Richard (Janet) Woodbury, sister Joanne (Patrick) Ryan, Brother in-law John (Carmelina) Belmonte and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Matilde, sister in-law Teresa Belmonte, brothers James (Jo) Woodbury, Jerry (Jewel) Woodbury, and great nephew David Woodbury.
A special thank you to the staff at Brookside Care Center who took wonderful care of him.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 1919 54th Avenue, Kenosha, WI. Mass of Christian Burial will commence at 11:00 a.m. and entombment will follow in All Saints Mausoleum, Pleasant Prairie, WI.
