Terrence “Terry” R. Mercier, 78, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Hospital.
He was born on October 15,1946 to the late Wallace and Adeline (Ackerman) Mercier in Eau Claire, WI. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School.Terry entered the US Army and served during Vietnam. He was honorably discharged. He was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1865, where he met his fiancé, Louise Leto.
Terry was a very talented carpenter for many years.
Terry loved deer hunting every year with family and friends at his cabin up north. He was a Brewers fan, enjoyed wood working, boxing, watching boxing and westerns. Terry was a very kind-hearted man who loved his family and his dogs Angel and Too Sweet.
Terry is survived by his siblings Mark (Jeanne) Mercier, Debbie (Jack) Barber and Shelly (Dave) Wildman, his nieces and nephews Nick Mercier, Jake Mercier, Katelyn Mercier, Jason (Courtney) Vogt, Rachel (Jon) Swift, Jennie Vogt, Taylor Wildman and Courtney Wildman, his great nephews Caleb Mercier and Griffin Swift his fiancé Louise Leto and her family Arty Calk and Robert Calk and her grandchildren Kyle, Raul, Sona-Leah and Selena. He is also survived by his faithful companions Angel and Too Sweet.
He is preceded in death by a brother Greg, and niece Brittney Wildman and Louise’s daughter Lisa Calk.
A Celebration of Life for Terry will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 1:00 p.m. with Full Military Honors following at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
