Sharon Louise Nevelier/Freitag, daughter of Milton and Phyllis Freitag, was born on October 15, 1946, in Kenosha, WI. Sharon had five brothers: Carl “Skip”, Paul, Mark, Dale (deceased), and Brad (deceased). She attended Bullamore Forks Grade School and graduated from Central High School in Salem, where she met the love of her life, Marvin D. Nevelier. They were united in holy matrimony on September 12, 1964, and blessed with four children.
Sharon was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, nurse, and disciple of Jesus. She spent her first adult years raising her family at home and caring for the residents of Brookside as a nursing assistant. As her children grew, she worked diligently to earn her nursing degree, serving as a registered nurse to the patients at Victory Memorial Hospital until her retirement. During her life of service, she never lacked in her love for her Lord, taking joy in studying her Bible every morning and sharing her faith with her family and friends. Every moment of her life was focused on others, and she preferred to bring happiness to her children and grandchildren. The ones she loved were her entire life, and her dedication to them left marks on their hearts that will spread to generations beyond their own. In this way, Sharon will always be serving the family and the Lord she loved.
Sharon quietly passed away at home with her family by her side on Thursday, July 31, 2025. She was preceded in death by her son, David, her daughter, Lynnette Ludwig, and two brothers, Dale and Brad.
Her beautiful life and strong faith will always be cherished in the lives of her children; Marvin Jr. (Heather) of Park Falls, WI, Richard (Doreen) of Lake Geneva, WI, grandchildren, Sara, Katie, Junior, Sue, Lydia, Kaitlin, David, Brandon, Connor, Rylan, and five great grandchildren, Aiden, Adalee, Scarlett, Finn, Austin, and another on the way.
