Sandra Horton passed away at Kenosha Place Assisted Living Facility at the age of 83 on Sunday, October 12, 2025. She was born in Washington Island, WI, on February 8, 1942, to Dean and Bernice (Baudhuin) Hansen. She attended St. George and St. Mary’s Grade Schools and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1960.
She enjoyed spending time on Washington Island with relatives, playing cards, and visiting. Her favorite pastime was crocheting and reading.
Sandra was employed at American Motors for 32 years and loved her job as a secretary to the Lakefront Plant Manager.
She is survived by her two sisters, Bonnie Schultz and Cheryl (Eddie) Jankowski, as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by her former husband, Duane Horton, and her brother-in-law, Bob Schultz.
In lieu of flowers, memorial remembrances to Kenosha Place or to Vitas Healthcare Hospice would be appreciated.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful people at Kenosha Place Assisted Living and Vitas Healthcare for their care and support throughout Sandra’s time with them.
