It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rudolph J. Ropp, who left us peacefully on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at the age of 81. Born on June 18, 1943, Rudolph’s life was defined by his warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. As a resident of Kenosha, WI, he touched the lives of many, embodying the spirit of community and companionship.
Rudy was a cherished family member and friend. His infectious laughter and compassionate heart made every gathering brighter. He was known for his willingness to lend a helping hand and his ability to listen without judgment. To those who knew him, he was more than a friend-he was a confidant and a guiding light.
Rudy proudly served our country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965.
On May 9, 1964, Rudy was united in marriage to Catherine Rusch. They enjoyed 61 years of happiness and love with each other. Rudy ran and operated two local service stations in Kenosha. He also worked at Chrysler Automotive and Carpetland USA, adding to a long career of dedication to his various occupations.
Rudy loved gardening and landscaping. He took great pride in the immaculate appearance of his lawn; so much so that he won an award for nicest looking home and yard. Being an avid Brewers and Packers fan, Rudy passed along his love for these teams to his sons, bringing them to many games throughout his life. The hobbies that brought great joy to Rudy were camping and bowling with the love of his life, Catherine.
