Ronald L. Anderson, 86, of Kenosha, WI, passed away on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, at his home.
He was born July 7, 1939, in Kenosha, WI, the son of the late Amos and Marie (Bouterse) Anderson. Ronald married Margaret “Peggy” Brown on December 30, 1972, at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She preceded him in death in May of 2009.
Ronald was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 139 for 70 years and was the best excavator in Southeastern WI. His life was in his machine and could be found with the biggest smile while working. He was also a Municipal Judge for the Village of Pleasant Prairie for many years and volunteered for the Pleasant Prairie Fire Department. He was a skilled woodworker and could get lost working in his shop all day, building anything from shelving to furniture. Ronald enjoyed traveling to casinos, anywhere from Milwaukee to Las Vegas. He’ll be missed by his breakfast club guys at Hillcrest Family Restaurant: Carl, Bob, Andy, and Rick.
Survivors include his children, Diane Hanson, Ronnie (Debra) Anderson, Debra (Mark) Neuman, Gayle (Mark) Provenzo, and Cathy (Lance) Bastrup; siblings, Beverly King, Joanne (John) Beronich, Sharon Anderson, and Wayne (Judy) Anderson; grandchildren, Duane Althoff, David Althoff, Georgett Hall, JB Hall, Kelly Gerda, Tim Breuhl, Kristy Smith, Chris Smith, Shannon Chovan, and Katie Bastrup. He is further survived by other relatives and many friends.
In addition to his parents and first wife, Marilyn Anderson, Ronald was preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra; siblings, Lois (Don) Pfarr, Richard (Bettie) Anderson, Beatrice (Lester) Smith, and Roger (Pat) Anderson; granddaughter, Alyssa; brother-in-law, Charles King; and son-in-law, Randy Hanson.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Proko Funeral Home with a funeral service commencing at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow in Green Ridge Cemetery, Kenosha, WI.
