Richard A. Komar, age 87 of Black River Falls, WI, died on Tuesday, March 3, 202,5 at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan, WI. Richard was born on January 23, 1939. In 1965, he married Susan Nowak and shared a lifetime of memories with her until the time of her passing in 2012. In his younger years, Richard was an avid outdoorsman; he enjoyed fishing, fly fishing, and he enjoyed hunting grouse. He was an excellent woodworker and painter and enjoyed working on projects for other people. Richard is survived by his children, Timothy (Karen) Komar, Jan Komar; grandchildren, Jenna Eichstadt, Jessica (Ryan Rios) Komar, Brandon Komar, Shannon (Enea) Gercaliu; and great-grandchildren, Luka, Leo, Isac, and Eliana. Richard is preceded in death by his wife, Susan.
A Memorial Service will take place for Richard at St. John in the Wilderness Episcopal Church, 13 S. Church Street,t Elkhorn, WI, on Friday, March 13, 202,6 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
