March 30, 1954 – March 3, 2026
Renee’ Sue (Baker) Kloet, age 71, of Salem, Wisconsin, went peacefully to heaven, surrounded by her loving family, on March 3, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center in Burlington. Renee’ was born on March 30, 1954, in Abington, Pennsylvania, to Louis and Gertrude (Maquelin) Baker. She graduated from Tremper High School in Kenosha, Wisconsin, and went on to attend Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where she studied pre-med for two years before returning to Kenosha.
After returning home, Renee’ began her career at Brown Bank and later joined Abbott Laboratories in Abbott Park, Illinois. She spent the next 40 years building a remarkable career in the IT department. Through dedication and hard work, she advanced to the position of Director of SAP Solutions before retiring.
Renee attended Kenosha Christian Reformed Church, where her father served as pastor. It was there that she met Ron Kloet. The two were married on July 19, 1980, at Kenosha Christian Reformed Church, where her father officiated the ceremony.
Together, Ron and Renee’ built a loving family. They were blessed with two children: Margaret (Andrae) Harrell of Racine, Wisconsin, and Jacob (Noura) Kloet of Chicago, Illinois. Renee was a proud and devoted grandmother to six grandchildren: Luke, Nora, Miles, Lena, Lamise, and Layan, who brought her immense joy.
Renee was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Gertrude Baker.
Faith and service were central to Renee’s life. She was deeply involved in the Christian Reformed Church, where she taught Sunday School, played the piano, sang on the worship team, and served on various ministry teams. She loved using her gifts and leadership to serve her church community.
Following her retirement from Abbott, Renee remained active and engaged. She continued playing piano for church, volunteered at a school, and spent treasured time caring for her grandchildren, whom she adored. She also loved spending time with friends and traveling. Some of her favorite trips included the annual “Sister Tour” with her sisters, visiting her brother overseas, spending time with friends in Florida, and traveling Up North with her family. Renee’ will be remembered for her deep faith, her love for family and friends, and the joy she brought to those around her.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Additional information will be shared as it becomes available.
