Peter Casciaro, 92, of Kenosha, died on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at Froedtert South Hospital. Born in Kenosha on March 4, 1933, he was the son of the late Frank and Millie (Gallo) Casciaro.
Peter attended local grade schools and was a graduate of Marquette University High School in Milwaukee and Dominican College in Racine. He later obtained a master’s degree from Marquette University.
He honorably served our country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
On November 19, 1955, he married Marian Dolnik at St. Anthony Church in Kenosha. They enjoyed 60 years of marriage. She preceded him in death on July 13, 2016.
Early in his career, Peter worked for the Kenosha Unified School System at Bain and McKinley schools. He also taught at Drought School in the Town of Norway. In the summers, he enjoyed working outdoors for the Kenosha Parks and at the Petrifying Springs golf course.
Peter was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Parish. He was the past president of the Holy Name Society and was a CCD instructor.
He was also a friend of the Kenosha Public Museum and the Kenosha Library.
Peter’s pastimes included writing, philosophy, exploring Wisconsin, photographing, and journaling his travels. An avid reader, he enjoyed Thoreau and travel books. In retirement, he enjoyed walking downtown and was a frequent visitor to the museum. He was an enthusiastic fan of the trolley. During his walks, he would enjoy ice cream or a Mac’s Canteen nut bar. On the weekends, he was a great fan of the Green Bay Packers and regularly wore Packer attire.
He is survived by his children, Anna Marie (Richard) Wiersum, David (Jenell), Patricia Carter-Keller (Harvey), and Paul, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, sister Loretta Moser, and sisters-in-law Thomasia Dolnik and Kay Dolnik, and many Casciaro, Gallo, and Dolnik cousins, nieces, and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Susan Marie (in infancy), daughter-in-law Jenell Casciaro, brother Frank Casciaro, brothers-in-law Rudy, Edward, Thomas, and Joseph Dolnik, and sisters-in-law Alice and Mary Dolnik, and Barbara Casciaro.

Services will be held on Saturday, February 21st at St. Anthony Catholic Church (2223 51st St, Kenosha, WI 53140). Visitation with the family will take place from 10 am to 11 am with Mass at 11 am. Burial will follow at St. George Catholic Cemetery.
