Paul C. Johnsen, 90 of Elkhorn, WI, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2026, at Ridgestone Terrace in Elkhorn, WI. He was born May 30, 1935, in Massachusetts, the son of the late Olaf M. and Esther V. Johnsen. Paul was united in marriage to Judith A. Goller on June 15, 1963, in Milwaukee, WI. Paul received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Trinity College in Chicago, and his Masters Degrees from National Louis University. Paul started his teaching career at Kenton Grade School in Skokie, IL, then spent the majority of his career at Thomas Edison Grade School in Morton Grove, IL, where he taught 5th Grade.
After his retirement, Paul had many business adventures. He was a member of Southern Lakes Ev. Free Church in Elkhorn. Paul and Judi traveled to the Czech Republic many times to teach English at a Christian Camp. Paul was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Paul is survived by his two sons; Olen (Amy) Johnsen and Kirk (Pam) Johnsen, eight grandchildren: Kelsey (John), Haley (Austin), Hannah (Nick), Eric (Megan), Rex (Claire), Tova (Christian Gallaway), Hauken (Adaline), and Kade, 10 great-grandchildren and two more on the way, Cecila, Jillian, Finley, Everett, Lochlen, Arlo, Westley, Rose, Silas, and Ivy, brother, Stanley (Mary Francis) Johnsen, and brother-in-law, Ted (Darlene) Olsen. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 61 years, Judi, parents, and three siblings: Gordon (Barbara) Johnsen, Eleanor (Peter) Milbratz, and Lois Olsen; and his niece, Kris Milbratz.
Memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at Southern Lakes Ev. Free Church, N6686 US Hwy 12, Elkhorn, WI. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until service time on Saturday at the church.
