Patricia J Vozel of Lily Lake, WI, died peacefully June 4, 2025, surrounded with love by her 4 children. Patricia was born at home in Chicago on August 27, 1940, to the late Henry and Edna (Luczak) Roth. She moved to Wisconsin in May of 1955, and she graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Burlington in 1958.
Patricia married Sylvester “Sully” Vozel on November 9, 1963, at St. Alphonsus Church in New Munster, WI. Sully passed away on February 24, 2007. Her son James “V” Vozel passed away one year later on September 7, 2008. They remain dearly missed.
Patricia was a tax preparer for 32 years, retiring in 2012. She owned the H&R Block franchise in Lake Geneva with partners Joan Ehlen and Linda Bihum for 20 years. She cherished the many trips the three took together, throughout the U.S. and beyond. Patricia fondly remembered their trip to Europe and visit to The Vatican.
She was a loyal Green Bay Packers fan and loved her McDonald’s coffee – always a large with 6 creams! She enjoyed drawing, painting, reading and spending time “up north” with her family.
She was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who always tried to do right for all the people in her life. Patricia believed grandchildren were the reward given for a life well lived, and she never turned down an opportunity to babysit.
Patricia was also preceded in death by her sister Barbara in 1981, and her much loved brothers, James Roth in 2000, and Anthony Roth in 2019.
Patricia is survived by her four children: John Vozel (Mary), Jennifer Vozel (Robert Carroll), Joseph Vozel (Rose), and Jason Vozel (Shirley). Sister to Dennis (Paula) Roth and Henry (the late Marilyn) Roth. Grandmother to 10, great grandmother to 5 and great, great grandmother of 1.
