September 22, 1950 – September 9, 2025
Mick E. Haight “Bob” got his final wish on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, passing peacefully at home, surrounded by his family. Mick was surrounded by love, laughter, and so many stories that often began with “I remember this one time… In the days leading up to his passing, Mick was surrounded by friends, extended family, and his Club brothers.” This outpouring of love was a beautiful reminder of the profound impact Mick had on those around him. Mick was born in Waukegan, Illinois, on September 22, 1950, and spent his life building a legacy of love, strength, and dedication to family.
Mick was a hardworking man who proudly retired from Chrysler after many years of service. Through his example, he instilled the values of dedication and perseverance into his children, nieces, and nephews. He had a love for the simple joys in life — John Wayne movies, sharing his signature “Dad Jokes” with his children and grandchildren, and tinkering around the house on countless projects. He cherished time with his family, even if he liked to joke by telling them to “come in through the back door, grab a plate of food, and head out the front — and come back when you can’t stay so long next time.”
Mick was also a proud and devoted member of his motorcycle club, where the bond he shared with his Club brothers brought him joy, camaraderie, and lifelong memories. Above all else, Mick’s greatest pride and joy was his family, who meant everything to him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barb Haight; his children, Brian (Kelly) Haight, Shannon (Cheryl) Haight, Keith Knowles, Yesca (Korey) Olson, Tiffany (Luke) Harding, and Courtney Murphy; his siblings, Denise (Jim) Pivovar and Scott (Becky) Haight. He also leaves behind 12 cherished grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will forever hold him close in their hearts.
Mick was greeted in the afterlife by his mother, Margaret Olsen; brother, John Haight; sister, Debra Langendorf; and brothers-in-law, Wayne Knowles and Jim Pivovar, as they joyfully celebrated their reunion.
Mick’s life was a beautiful collection of moments, and with every laugh and every “I remember this one time,” his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.
Memorial services honoring Mick’s life will be held privately.
