With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Micheal Morris Waddle, who passed away at Brookside Care Center on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Tupelo, MS on September 7, 1946, to the late J.C. Morris and Eloise (Farrar) Waddle. He was a graduate of Zion Benton High School.
Micheal lived a life filled with passion and hobbies that brought him joy. A longtime machine operator at Culligan, he dedicated his days to the manufacturing industry, contributing his skills and craftsmanship to his work. After hours, he could often be found immersed in his love for history, particularly as a collector of Civil War books that detailed the trials and triumphs of a pivotal era. He also took delight in collecting die-cast cars, a pastime that allowed him to connect with friends and family over shared interests and nostalgia.
Micheal is survived by his treasured nephews, James Waddle and William (Melissa) Waddle; treasured niece, Katie Cole (Keith) Holley; brother-in-law, Aubrey Dean Cole; sister-in-law, Nancy Waddle Carr; great nephews, Baily Johnstone, Connor, Carl, Luca, Tate, and Phillip Waddle and great nieces, Kenzie and Taylor Waddle. He held a special place in his heart for each of them and created lasting memories with both laughter and love.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J.C. Morris Waddle, Eloise Waddle; brother, Phillip Waddle; sister, Vicki Cole; nephew, Ryan Dean Cole and great nephews, William and Jackson Waddle.
The family would like to say a special thank you for the tender care given by Hospice Alliance and the caregivers at Brookside to Uncle Mike.
