Michael Leonard Zirbel Jr., age 40, of Kenosha, passed away on December 15th, 2025. He was born in Kenosha on March 8th, 1985, to Michael Leonard Zirbel Sr. and Jacqueline (Housner) Zirbel. He attended local Kenosha Schools and graduated from Reuther High School in 2003. Michael honorably served in the United States Navy from 2003 for 10 plus years. Michael was an outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. He was also an avid bowler.
Michael is survived by his parents: Michael Leonard Zirbel Sr. and Jacqueline (Housner) Zirbel, children: Brianna Zirbel and Blaze Zirbel, sisters: Jessica Planka and Courtney Zirbel, aunts and uncles: Deanna (Dennis) Stich, Cindy Persson and Heidi Judeika, nieces and nephews: Samantha, Hannah, Christopher “C.J.” and Jeremiah as well as many other living relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by the mother of his children, Gina Zirbel, grandparents: Leonard Zirbel, Grace Zirbel, Jack Housner, and Nancy Housner, and uncles: John Housner, Dave Persson, and Troy Judeika Sr.
Services for Michael will be held at Holy Spirit Community Church (5900 11th Ave) on Saturday, December 27th, 2025, at 2 P.M. with full military honors. A visitation will also take place at the church from 12 P.M. until the time of the service.
