Michael L. “Captain Mike” Arsier, age 79, passed away on Saturday, November 8th, 2025, at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Born on September 8th, 1946, in Chicago, IL, he was the son of the late Louis and Jane (Dunn) Arsier.
He was educated in various schools and bounced around to different colleges, majoring in Vietnam avoidance and chasing girls. When the dust settled, he had a lot of credits but was one short needed to graduate with a psychology degree. He finally took one more credit to graduate so he could hang the degree on his wall. He chose to work on the railroad, which was a better option for him. He eventually retired from the railroad.
He enjoyed talking, drinking, and listening to live music. He loved to dance when the opportunity presented itself. He loved traveling, especially to BARRA de Navidad, Mexico.
After his retirement, he owned and operated Captain Mike’s in downtown Kenosha. He was well known in downtown circles and had many friends.
He is survived by two sisters, Patricia (Robert, deceased) Campbell and Marcy (Ronald) Piantkowski. He is further survived by nephews and nieces: Robert (Donna) Campbell, John Campbell, Patrick Campbell, and Louis (Adriana) Corolla, Jane Campbell (Mark Stevens), Gina (Paul) Ziccardi, Karen (Dave) Koza, and by many, many great nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Louis and Jane Arsier, sister Roseanne (Edward) Kundsk, nephews Daniel Campbell, Frank Corolla, and niece Angela (John) Bowen.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on Friday, November 14th, 2025, at 6:00 PM at the Kemper Center Founders Hall. (6501-3rd Avenue, Kenosha, WI 53140) Visitation with the family will be on Friday in Founders Hall from 4:00 PM until the time of the service. Interment will be private.
