Matthew “Matt” R. Schurr, 40, of Kenosha, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
He was born on July 9, 1985, to the late Dana Schurr in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Indian Trails High School.
On October 13, 2023, he married Lindsay Last in Kenosha.
Matt was a carpenter for many years.
Matt enjoyed cooking, was very artistic, creating things out of wood, playing guitar, anything outdoors, and listening to music with his favorite band being the Manchester Orchestra. Most of all, he loved spending time and being with his family.
Matt is survived by his wife, Lindsay, his sons Nathaniel, David, Oliver, Tobias, and Silas, his siblings Vanessa, Amanda, Brandon, and Brittany, his grandparents Susan and Jack, his aunts Joni, who he thought of as a second mother, Jill, his uncle Ron, and a niece, Ella.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Dana, and his grandfather’s Ron and Ken.
Funeral Services for Matt will be held on Wednesday, October 15th, at 6:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be held at a later date.
