March 14, 1934 – September 21, 2025
Marilyn June Rossmann, 91, of Buffalo Grove, Illinois, passed away peacefully on September 21, 2025.
Marilyn was the beloved wife of the late James C. Rossmann, with whom she shared more than 70 years of marriage. Together, they built a life grounded in love, devotion, and faith, raising a family that was always her greatest joy.
She will be remembered for her kind and generous spirit. Marilyn was a talented seamstress and an excellent cook, but her greatest gift was the way she cared for those she loved. She welcomed her parents into her home to care for them during her father’s battle with Alzheimer’s, and she also tended to her father-in-law with daily meals and compassionate attention. Later in life, she once again became a caregiver, this time to her husband as he endured the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease. Marilyn consistently placed the needs of others before her own, a true reflection of her unselfish and loving heart.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter Dawn (Rick) Pinter; her sons James, Michael, and Chris Rossmann; her sister Geraldine Ellwanger; seven grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was also a cherished mother-in-law and friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Rossmann, and her parents, Joseph and Victoria Anetsberger.
