December 4, 1942 – February 11, 2026
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Margaret M. Piepenburg, who left us peacefully on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at the age of 83. She was born on December 4, 1942, to the late Theodore and Barbara (Struck) Niemiec.
On November 11, 2011, she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Dennis Piepenburg, and together they enjoyed many adventures until Dennis’ untimely passing in 2015.
Peggy was not only dedicated to her career, but was also a nurturing figure to her family, friends, and work family. She approached every challenge with a steadfast spirit and an infectious smile, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Her compassion for others knew no bounds, and her genuine interest in people drew many to her side.
Peggy was a vibrant presence who would often light up the room with her laughter and spirited conversation. Whether it was through her favorite hobbies, cherished family gatherings, or simply lending an ear to those in need, she taught us the importance of connection and community. Peggy’s legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
She leaves behind her stepdaughter, Karen (Doug) Saulys; step-grandchildren, Michael Saulys, Amber (Tony) LaCombe, and Ryan Saulys; great-step-grandchildren, Anthony LaCombe and Lorenzo Saulys; step-son-in-law, Don Wipfli; special friend, Phil Gondek; and her furry companion, Simba.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her husbands, David Prober and Dennis Piepenburg; and step-daughter, Pamela Wipfli.
Peggy’s family would like to extend a special thanks to the medical and wound care team at Froedert Pleasant Prairie Hospital, as well as the team at ClearSky Rehabilitation Hospital of Kenosha, for their love and care for Peggy during some of her most challenging times in life.
