Obituary
Lorena R. Gallo, 65, of Kenosha, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Froedtert Pleasant Prairie.
Born in Kenosha, WI, on January 7, 1960, she was the daughter of the late Emilio and Amalia (DeBartolo) Guido. She attended local schools, graduating from Bradford High School and UW-Milwaukee.
She worked at the Dave Anderson American Family Agency for many years. For the past several years, she has been working part-time at Sterling Court Apartments.
On June 11, 1983, she was united in marriage with the love of her life, Joseph Gallo.
Lorena loved to cook, bake, garden, and knit. She especially loved decorating the house for every holiday and hosting big holiday meals. She also loved their frequent trips to Door County. She was a life-long Cubs fan. She was most happy when she spent time with her family.
Lorena is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Joe; 4 very special cousins, Lisa Cairo, Clara Micinski, David DeBartolo, and Alfonso Marrone. 3 adored nieces, Marci Kelkar, Marissa Ochoa, and Andrea Gordon. And in-laws, Dino Gallo, Rose Nelson, Gino and Jackie Gallo, and John and Caroline Gallo.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved grandparents Eugenio and Rosario DeBartolo, father and mother-in-law Ralph and Irene Gallo, brothers and sisters-in-law Mike and Eileen Gallo, Al and Marge Gallo, Robert Nelson, and Linda Gallo.
The family would like to thank Dr. David Knight, Heidi Capodarco APNP, and the nurses and staff at Froedtert South Pleasant Prairie for the wonderful care they gave her.
Visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A short prayer service will be held at Proko Funeral Home the following day, Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 9:15 a.m. Immediately following a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark’s the Evangelist Church at 10:00 a.m. Entombment will be held at All Saints Mausoleum. Donations to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
