US Veteran
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Leonard M. Kaminski, age 80, who departed this life on Monday, January 12, 2026. Born on August 10, 1945, to Leonard & Violet (Fedder) Kaminski, Leonard was a devoted husband, father, and friend who touched the lives of many with his unwavering kindness and exemplary character.
From May of 1965 until January of 1970, Leonard served his country with honor and distinction in the US Navy on the USS Cambria and USS Vulcan, embodying the values of bravery and dedication. After his military service, he returned to his beloved community, where he became a cherished family man who prioritized his loved ones above all else.
On October 28, 1967, he was united in marriage to Suzanne Witucki.
Len was employed with Ingersoll, Valenite, and Sandvic Tools and was a past member of the Kenosha Moose Lodge #286.
He loved to spend his time in the outdoors: snowmobiling, fishing, and hunting. Len’s workshop was his haven, where he was an avid woodworker and enjoyed finishing many projects that made his family home such a special place. Len’s number one favorite thing to do was spending time with his family, standing over and watching his family beaming with pride on his grandchildren and great granddaughter.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Suzanne Kaminski; his beloved children, Kris Liberacki, Michael (Stacey) Kaminski, and Jennifer (Michael) Zoerner; his sister, Carol (Kaminski) Taylor; grandchildren, Madeline (Ivan) Mercado, McKayla Sturino, Emily Sturino, Addison Kaminski, Nickolas (Giselle) Iaquinta, Sgt. Alex Zoerner, and Dr. Douglas Zoerner.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Violet Kaminski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Manistee, Michigan, at a later date.
Leonard’s legacy of love, integrity, and service will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His family is grateful for the time they shared and will continue to carry his spirit with them.
