August 11, 1940 – November 26, 2025
In serene whispers, we gather to celebrate the life of Julia L. Weber, a beloved soul who graced this world with her presence from August 11, 1940, until she journeyed into eternity on Wednesday, November 26, 2025. Born in Highland Park, Illinois, to Esther and Richard Long, her spirit shone brightly, bringing warmth and love to those fortunate enough to know her.
Throughout her life, Julia lived in the Midwest and Montana. She was more than a daughter, a mother, and a friend; she was a beacon of strength and kindness.
Julia was a proud alumnus of Valparaiso University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree, a milestone that reflected her dedication and passion for learning.
In her later years, she embraced the tranquility of retirement, a time she filled with love, laughter, and unfading grace. Retirement also allowed her the space to lean into the things she loved most. She was deeply passionate about traveling and took great pride in having visited 49 of the 50 states, an accomplishment she delighted in sharing. Julia also had the opportunity to travel to Mexico, Canada, Europe, and Australia, which gave her many fond memories. She enjoyed long car rides, especially when accompanied by the music of Beethoven, which brought her comfort and joy. Proud of her Long family roots, she spent meaningful time researching genealogy and family history, including hours in the Salt Lake City Library pursuing work connected to her own small genealogy research business.
Julia leaves behind her cherished son, Mark Weber; grandsons, Brandon, Gabriel, and Micah; nephew, Michael Roberts; and niece, Marcy (Roberts) Peters. Each life she touched carries a piece of her legacy, a testament to the love she shared and the memories she created.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her younger sister, Carole (Long) Roberts.
Services for Julia will be held privately at a later date.
