Juanita (Milkent) Pflueger, age 90, of Salem, WI, passed away on August 6th, 2025, at Hospice House in Pleasant Prairie, WI. She was born on November 20th, 1934, to John and Leona (Walter) Milkent of Kenosha. On September 12th, 1953, she was united in marriage to Lawrence Pflueger at St. Mary’s Church in Kenosha. They had been married for 64 years until his passing in 2017. Together, they raised their children in Salem. Juanita was a former member of Holy Name Parish in Wilmot, where she was the president of the Holy Name Women’s group, a member of the parish council, sang in the choir, headed the activities committee, and was a communion distributor. For 30 years, she was an officer and board member of the Salem Oaks Community Association. She enjoyed playing cards and games, coaching, gardening, swimming, and following the Green Bay Packers and NASCAR. She also appreciated the activities and many friends at the Westosha Senior Center in Bristol. Most of all, spending time with family. She then found a home with great people at Heritage Church in Round Lake Beach, Illinois. Besides her husband Lawrence, she was preceded in death by her parents: John and Leona Milkent, brothers: John and Robert Milkent, sister: Joan Kunz, and son-in-law James Jensen. Her children survive her: Mark (Denise) Pflueger, Laurie Jensen, Steven (Elene) Pflueger and Scott (Liny) Pflueger, 11 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
As per Juanita’s wishes, inurnment will take place at Southern Wisconsin Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Lawrence.
