John Widmar, 92, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 9, 2025.
He was born on January 16, 1933, to the late Frank and Josephine (Klobucher) Widmar in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.
John entered the US Air Force on April 18, 1952, and was honorably discharged on March 12, 1956.
On August 4, 1962, he married Saundra Lee Finn at Trinity Episcopal Church in River Falls, WI. She preceded him in death on November 30, 2009.
John worked at American Motors and then at American Brass for 30 years, retiring from there.
John enjoyed collecting antiques and records, watching old classical movies with his daughter Nicole, and was an avid Brewers and Packers fan.
John is survived by his daughter Nicole (DJ) Ehlert, his son James (Kelly) Widmar, his grandchildren Andrew, Crystal, Connor, Collin, Carson, Bria, and Brynn, his great grandchildren Austin, Ellie, and T,J and a sister Connie (Butch) Richards.
He is preceded in death by a son, Paul, and his siblings Frank Jr., Robert, Richard, Betty, and Edward.
Graveside Services for John will be held on Monday, October 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park Chapel with inurnment to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials would be appreciated by the family.
