John James LaFever, 48, of Kenosha passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at Froedtert South St. Catherine’s Hospital.
He was born on March 2, 1977 to Martin C. Jakubowski Sr. and Debbie M. LaFever in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Mary D. Bradford High School.
John worked as a janitor for Elite Metal and Finishing for several years.
John enjoyed fishing, hunting, vacationing, going camping every weekend and CB radios. Family was everything to John and you could always count on a “Happy Birthday” phone call from him on your Birthday.
John is survived by his siblings Steven (Sherri) LaFever, Martin (Lisa) Jakubowski Jr., Nick (Kym) Jakubowski, Danny (Amy) Jakubowski, Kristina (David) Warner and Katie (Robert) Berg Jr., his nieces and nephews Tyler, Haley, Chance, Jaxson, Samantha, Nicholas Jr., Alayna, Chase, Brayden, Makayla, Makenziee, Makaden, Makaylee, Makaylynn, Makyler, Makatelynn, Makayjah, Makamryn, Makijah and Emily, his aunts Carol (Roland) Morales, Margaret Marquez, Lori Martinsen and Kathy Jakubowski, his uncles James LaFever and Kevin (Laurie) LaFever and his step father Jamie Darracott.
He is preceded in death by his father, his mother, his grandparents LeRoy and Jean Jakubowski and Dale and Audrey LaFever, his stepfather Ernest Bunch, his uncles Mark and Mike Jakubowski, Joel, Charles, David and Dale LaFever, his aunt Joan Evans, his niece Elizabeth, and his beloved dog Shaboo.
A Celebration of Life for John will be held on Friday, July 18th at 1:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
