Jeffrey A Nyberg, aka Chuck and Knucklehead, 68, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away on October 7th,2025.
Jeff was born on April 25th, 1957, in Kenosha to Fred and Eleanore Nyberg.
He attended Tremper High School, class of 1975. He retired from Abbott Labs after over 20 years, and before that, he worked at ComEd Zion Nuclear Plant for over 20 years in mechanical maintenance.
Jeff married Cindy on June 7th, 1985, in Las Vegas, and was a devoted father to their son Eric. Jeff lived
his life his way; he lived it to the fullest, and he had a blast. The stories of which he was the prime mover
and the ones in which he merely took part are too numerous to recount but will be told long into the
future. His favorite hobby was darts, and he was a fixture around boards in town for the majority of his
life. He won the State Dart Tournament and placed 3rd in the World Dart Tournament. He enjoyed the
game immensely, but what he enjoyed more were the friends he made through it over the years.
He was always busy, particularly after he retired. He was an avid golfer, going almost every chance he had if the weather was good and sometimes when it wasn’t. He also liked to bowl, on some Thursdays up to 3
times a day. He was fond of saying that retirement wasn’t for the weak; typically, it seemed as if a family
member was getting ready to leave the house for work in the morning.
When he wasn’t doing these things, he could be found spending time with his friends or doing various projects around the yard. But what he loved most of all was spending time with his wife, Cindy, and son Eric. He was always there when needed, without fail. If he didn’t say it every day, he said it every other day, “I love my life!”
Jeff is survived by his wife, Cindy Nyberg, son Eric Nyberg, and sisters Lisa (Jim) Ruffolo, Kris (Larry) Weiss,
Nancy (Kent) Becker and brother Dan (Rachel) Nyberg. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Betty
Hubbard, sisters-in-law Barb (Tim) Vanderhoef and Jean (Bob) Hamilton, as well as the best ever nieces
and nephews!
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Fred and Eleanore Nyberg, his father-in-law, Donald
Hubbard and brother-in-law Ken Wilbik.
Visitation will be held on October 17th, 2025, from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at Old Bethany on 22nd and
75th, with a memorial service to be held at 3:00 pm with Pastor Pagel officiating.
