Janice A. Roncone, 91 years old of Mount Pleasant, WI, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025, at her daughter’s home.
She was born July 28, 1934, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Donald and Florence (Rudin) Thompson. On January 15, 1955, Janice married Claude Roncone, and he preceded her in death in 2023.
Janice was an avid reader and a talented cook. She enjoyed entertaining, solving word jumbles, and most of all, spending time with her beloved family. When she and Claude resided in Florida, she was a member of both the Elks Lodge and the Moose Lodge. She also passionately supported M.A.D.D.
Survivors include her daughter, Pam (John Wright) Roncone; grandchildren, Michael (Alexandra) Wenz, Ellen Wright, and Lauren Wright; and great-grandchildren, Luke, Issac, Caleb, and Dontarion. Janice will also be missed by Jere Christiansen, a dear friend since their high school years.
In addition to her parents and husband, Janice was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Thompson, and a daughter, Claudia Wenz.
Services will be held privately in Ridgewood Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. Arrangements are entrusted to Proko Funeral Home.
