September 6, 1951 – January 2, 2026
James “Jim” L. Wehrman, 74, of Silver Lake, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Friday, January 2, 2026, at his residence.
He was born on September 6, 1951, to the late Lester and Veronica (Doughty) Wehrman in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha and graduated from Tremper High School in 1969.
Jim married Darlene M. Carlson on May 4, 1974, in Kenosha. Jim was the best husband anyone could ever ask for. His love and devotion never stopped.
Jim worked as a tool and die maker for Modine for 47 years.
Jim was a proud dad who could never say “No” to his daughter, Gina Sorenson. He was also a proud dad who loved to share motocross, sprint car races, and mechanics with his son, Jim R. Wehrman, and was always his biggest fan.
Jim enjoyed hunting and fishing, loved animals, and hated to kill them – but was excited when he got one!
There will never be a dull blade in heaven. (Jeff Z. and Brownie) (power saw – lawnmower)
Always the proud grandpa who loved to share his knowledge with everyone, especially his grandson, Brad Sorenson, who was his star student.
Devoted brother to his sister, Cindy Klopstein, who said he could fix anything and everything she broke. He is also survived by Cindy’s husband, Denny Klopstein.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son-in-law, Chris Sorenson.
The family would like to thank the Esposito family, who will always be our forever friends.
The family would also like to thank Horizon Hospice, which was wonderful in our time of need.
A Celebration of Life for Jim will be held at a later date.
