Gordon E. Briese, 95, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2025, in his home surrounded by family.
Born on July 5, 1930, he was the son of the late Edward and Otillia (Duesterhoeft) Briese. After meeting the love of his life while roller skating in Kentucky, he married Sue Ludlow on October 3, 1952.
Gordon was a man of faith and devoted to his church. He served in the Korean War as a mechanic and retired from Chrysler/AMC after 45 years. Gordon was passionate about gardening, yardwork, woodworking, and metalworking. If something was broken, he could fix just about anything.
Gordon is survived by his wife of 73 years, Sue; children, Debra (Richard) Bailey, M. Briese (L. Briese), David (Patricia) Briese, Tina (Lance) Evans, James (Kathy) Briese, and Gordon Briese II. He leaves behind 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Herbert Briese, Eldina Wruck, Darwin Briese, and Isabelle Kemnetz.

A memorial visitation will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 7104 39th Avenue, Kenosha, WI, on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at Sunset Ridge Memorial Park.
