Gloria Ann Scuglik, age 94, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 27, 2025, surrounded by her family.
She was the daughter of the late Frank V. and Josephine L. (Konz) Bobusch Sr., born on August 22, 1931, in Kenosha, WI. She attended St. George’s grade school in Kenosha and St. Catherine’s High School in Racine. On September 30, 1950, Gloria was united in marriage to Anthony “Tony” L. Scuglik Sr. at St. Anthony’s of Padua Catholic Church.
Gloria was Chairman of the Board and Secretary for the Bobusch Furniture Company until retiring in 1991. She was an active member of the Slovak Catholic Sokols Assembly #113, participating in the Group 4 and National Track & Field events. She held the office of Secretary for the Slovak Catholic Sokol Group 4 for 16 years until retiring in 2011. She was also a member of St. Anthony’s Rosary Society and had been selling Christmas Oplatky since 1994. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, puzzle making, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Gloria is survived by five of her children, Linda (Mel Jacobs) Parsons, David (Christine) Scuglik, Frank (Vicki) Scuglik, Kim (Vic) Scuglik-Majdan, Stephen (Peg) Scuglik, Jean (Johnny) Wisdom; twelve grandchildren, Aaron (Rachel), Jarrod (Eugenie), Jason (Lily), Tiffany (Daniel), Taylor, Kari, Corey (Jess), Cody, Emma (Sean), Gabriel (Trish), Krystle (Matthew), and Katie; and fifteen great-grandchildren: Aida, Amara, Vera, Nathan, Ethan, Hudson, Lily, Lonnie, Zelie, Eilis, Roisin, Audrey, James, Evelyn, and Jameson.
In addition to her parents, Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Tony L. Scuglik, Sr.; son, Anthony L. Scuglik, Jr.; brother, Frank V. Bobusch; sister, Rose Marie Trokan; and son-in-law, Pete Parsons.
