It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Geraldine “Gerry” Joyce Hornickel on Saturday, November 8, 2025. Born on March 28, 1932, to the late William and Alma (Blinten) Piehl. She was a graduate of Bradford High School, Class of 1950.
On August 25, 1951, Gerry was united in marriage to Richard Hornickel at Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church. Sadly, he preceded her in death on April 22, 2010.
As a devoted homemaker, Gerry poured her love into her family, creating a nurturing home for her children and a welcoming heart for all who knew her. She is survived by her loving children, Carol (Norm) Leno; David (Lynn) Hornickel, Robert (Janet) Hornickel and Gwen (David) Ziemer; grandchildren, Kristi (Mark) Hornickel, Tracy (Mike) Magro, Samantha (Philip) Kusters, Stephanie (Steve) Ruiz, Rikki (Craig) Allen, Paul (Tracy) Leno and Michelle (Chris) Shilling and many great and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Gerry was preceded in death by her sisters, Elaine Huff and Dolores Piehl.
