Georgianna Jill Fredericksen, 76, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully at her home on November 8, 2025.
Jill was born to the late William and Agnes (Hengel) Petersen on December 28, 1948, in Kenosha, WI.
Jill attended local grade schools and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in 1967. She then attended school at Gateway Technical College and graduated as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 1969. She was employed at Kenosha Memorial Hospital (now Froedtert South) for 52 years, retiring in 2019. Jill was a dedicated, caring, and compassionate LPN and loved providing comfort and care to patients.
She married Mark Norman Fredericksen at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on February 20, 1971, and they were blessed with a son, Scott William Fredericksen.
She enjoyed music, camping, going to and hosting rummage sales, collecting beautiful glassware, plates, and dolls. She and her husband had a large garden, apple orchard, and she spent many a day picking apples, canning, and being outside in the garden and orchard. She loved traveling to casinos with her friends and to California to see her son, daughter-in-law Courtney, and her grandchildren. Spending time with family and friends was important to Jill. She especially loved being mother to Scott and grandmother to William and Samuel. She was very proud of them and treasured every moment they spent together. Jill will be greatly missed for her kindness, caring, generosity, sense of humor, and loving spirit.
Surviving Jill are her son and daughter-in-law -in-law Scott (Courtney) Fredericksen, grandson William Fredericksen, grandson Samuel Fredericksen, brother-in-law Todd (Nell) Fredericksen, sister-in-law Patsy Fredericksen, brother-in-law Kevin Fredericksen, sister-in-law Donna (John) Belitza, sister-in-law Joan (Dale) Madsen, sister-in-law Arlene Fredericksen, sister-in-law Chris Studey, and brother-in-law Ray Fredericksen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. friends, and her beloved cockatoo, Socs.
Jill was preceded in death by her husband Mark, her parents, her brother Roger Petersen, her husband’s parents, Simon and Lillian Fredericksen, brother-in-law Lynn Fredericksen, sister-in-law Claire Fredericksen, and brother-in-law Paul Fredericksen.
The family would like to thank the following for their compassion, support, and care for Jill for many years: Froedtert Cancer Center, Dr. David Knight and the staff, the wonderful staff from Horizon Hospice and Home Instead, and all her circle of support, including Jean, Dawn, Kathy, Pat, Sharon, and Mary Jane.
Funeral services for Jill will be held on Monday, December 29th, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 7300 – 39th Ave., Kenosha, greeting at 10 A.M. to Noon at the church; Mass from 12::00 to 1:00 PM. Donations in Jill’s name can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, The American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice. For further information, contact Bruch Funeral Home.
