April 24, 1943 – October 17, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gail A. Freyermuth, who left us peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025, at the age of 82. Born to Harry and Ella (Mettler) Breiby on April 24, 1943, Gail was a beacon of love and light in the lives of all who knew her.
Gail met and fell in love with Ronald Freyermuth, and they were married on October 3, 1964.
She was employed as an office manager for a CPA firm.
Gail was a long-time member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church. In addition, she was a Girl Scout Leader and a member of the Moose. She was an avid quilter and a proud member of Southport Quilters, where she shared her skills and friendship with fellow crafters. Quilting was her happy place; she could often be found surrounded by fabric and laughter. But family was the best part of her life. Surrounded by them, she found comfort, joy, and a lifetime of cherished memories.
She is survived by her daughters, Colleen (Rich) MacBeth of North Bend, OR, and Jackie Freyermuth of Milwaukee; grandson Connor MacBeth, and she is further survived by her brother-in-law, Robert Freyermuth.
In addition to her parents, Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald, and brothers-in-law, Dexter Freyermuth and Dennis Freyermuth.
Gail’s life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and an unwavering commitment to her family and friends. She possessed a unique gift for bringing people together, always making time for those in need, and sharing her passion for life. Her nurturing spirit and kind soul will be deeply missed but fondly remembered.
Private Interment will take place in Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Gail may have departed from this world, but her spirit will forever remain a guiding light in the hearts of those she loved.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Ciel of Shorewood for their compassionate care and kindness.
