Elaine B. Baumann, 87, of Twin Lakes, WI., passed away on May 29th, 2025 at Ridgestone Facility in Delavan, WI. She was born on July, 24th, 1937, in Chicago, IL., to Walter and Elizabeth (Webel) Baumann.
Elaine grew up in Chicago and the loving bond that she shared with her mother guided her through her childhood and molded her into being an intelligent, passionate, and witty person with integrity. Elaine’s upbringing led her to attain the goal of graduating from DePaul University with a degree in Economics. Elaine had a love of music. She enjoyed attending Chicago Symphony Orchestra Concerts, and was a donor to the CSO. Elaine enjoyed classical music with her favorite composers being Mozart and Beethoven. Some of her favorite pop artists were Lady Gaga and Elton John. Elaine was on the Worship, Arts and Music Committee at Messiah Lutheran Church. Elaine’s love of animals and intelligent economic and accounting skills drove her to being asked to take over the Shorewood Cocker Rescue, where she guided the placement of over 1200 dogs and animals into their forever homes. Elaine created clever and amazing fundraising for the rescue, with the foremost being the annual Wigglebutt Walk. Volunteers were led and guided by Elaine’s uncanny ability to channel her passion and love for the animals. Before taking over the Shorewood Cocker Rescue, Elaine was the Director of Manufacturing Engineering at Outboard Marine. She foresaw worldwide parts and line production of Outboard Marine. Prior to Outboard Marine, Elaine was a buyer for Carson Pirie Scott where she traveled worldwide for international fashion retail marketing. While doing these professional careers, Elaine bred quarter horses. She was also on the board for the Johnson Office Union. She also volunteered and sat on the board of the Kenosha County Humane Society.
Elaine is survived by friends Deb Rose, John Mertens and Yvonne Fellenz.
Elaine is preceded in death by her parents.
Donations can be made in Elaine’s name to The National Canine Cancer Foundation.
A funeral service for Elaine will be held on Saturday, June 21st, 2025 at 11:00A.M. at Messiah Lutheran Church, 8720 368th Ave. Twin Lakes, WI, 53181. With Pastor Melody Brink presiding. A visitation will be held at the same location from 10:00 A.M until time of service. Haase-Lockwood & Associates are proud to have served the Baumann family.
