May 25, 1956 – January 4, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edward (Ed) Glowacki on January 4, 2026. Ed left peacefully at his Kenosha, WI, assisted living apartment, his home since April 2025. After having endured numerous health challenges. A lifelong Philadelphian, Ed was a Registered Nurse for 22 years, and a proud 20-year US Army (Medical) veteran. His active duty included being based in Hawaii with the 25th Infantry Division, which was one of Ed’s fondest memories. Ed enjoyed travel, books on trivia, concerts with friends, and was a big Philly sports fan. He loved collecting hats, t-shirts, and coffee mugs from wherever he went. Ed had his family’s gratitude for caring for our mother, Rosalie, until her passing in 2017 at 92.
He is survived by his brother, Francis (Alice) Glowacki; his nieces, Trisha and Melissa; his nephews, Christopher and Mark; and numerous cousins and friends who will cherish the memories they created together.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Rosalie Glowacki; his brother James; and his wife Barbara Glowacki.
As we prepare to say our goodbyes, let’s remember Edward for his warmth, humor, and the love he freely gave. He will be missed dearly.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date in Philadelphia, PA
