Dorene Rakebrand (nee Bieniek), age 73, of Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on July 17, 2025, with loved ones at her side. Dorene was born in Chicago, IL on May 30, 1952, to Louis and Dorothy Bieniek. The family moved to the Chicago suburb of Bolingbrook, IL where she and her siblings grew up. Dorene attended Lockport West High School in Romeoville, IL.
Dorene married Charles Rakebrand in April of 2001 and remained united until Charles passed on in 2023. They are now reunited in the afterlife, which brings her family comfort.
Dorene made her career in the clerical field, where she worked feverishly to provide for her growing daughters. Although young, she was an amazing and nurturing mother and provided much love and care for her whole family. Dorene’s favorite holiday was Halloween, and she loved to dress up every year! She did her makeup so intricately, she could have been a makeup artist! But an artist she was, painting and drawing the most beautiful pictures. She was also a musician and played the accordion, guitar and organ. In her retirement years, she made beautiful hats with feathers, flowers and jewelry. She was a very sweet and kind woman to all that she knew, and our loss is heaven’s gain.
Remaining to cherish Dorene’s memory are her Daughters Dorsie (Daryl) Hubbard Stanley of Twin Lakes, WI and Cheryl (Jason) Barney of Lockport, IL; Sisters, Dayle Donegan of Corona, CA and Debbie (Mike) Micca of Spring Hill, TN; Grandchildren Christopher (Morgan Coy) Hubbard of Twin Lakes, WI, Josh Hubbard of Twin Lakes, WI; Paige (Dominic Galvan) of Lockport, IL and Ein (Faye Stumpf) Barney of Belgrade, MT. Vernon, IL; Great Nephews Isaac (Allison Stettler) Householder of Newport Beach, CA and Elijah Householder of Riverside, CA; Great-great niece Marlie Householder and many cousins throughout the United States.
