It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David W. Horton, who left us unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the age of 82. David was born and raised in Black River Falls, WI, on August 25, 1943, to the late Ralph and Mary Horton. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Alma Center, WI. David was a beloved father, a loving partner, a cherished friend, and a direct and honest soul whose good humor brightened the lives of all who knew him. He touched many hearts throughout his journey, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, integrity, and deep connection.
From November 30, 1965, until November 29, 1967, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was employed with ARAMARK as a Route Salesman for 35 years.
David was a proud and devoted member of the Hupmobile Club and the Kenosha Car Club, where his passion for classic vehicles shone brightly. Among his most prized possessions were his carefully curated collection of vintage cars and tractors, each one a testament to his love for craftsmanship, history, and the open road.
David is survived by his daughter, Autumn (Brian) Horton, and his loving companion and partner, Mary Santiago.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by his siblings, Gal Horton, Gary “Spider” Horton, Dwayne “Blackie” Horton, and Diane Ewell.
