May 8, 1958 – February 11, 2026
David M. Arnold, beloved brother, uncle, and friend, was born on May 8, 1958, to Donald and Bernice Arnold in Grand Rapids, MI. He was one of eleven children, growing up in a large and loving family that remained at the center of his life. David will be deeply missed by his brothers and sisters: Diane (Kevin) Auld, Sharon Gunneson, Patricia (Steve) Welch, Steven (Heidi) Arnold, Donna (Gary) DeWald, Gary (Kim) Arnold, Kathleen (Dan) Re, Mark Arnold, and Thomas Arnold, and by his twenty-one nieces and nephews and twenty-seven great-nieces and great-nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and James DeCoster, and his brother-in-law, Roger Gunneson.
David worked for many years as an IT project manager, where he was known for his reliability and steady presence. He brought that same dependability and strength to his family and friendships, serving as an anchor to those who loved him.
David had a special connection with his nieces and nephews, including his great-nieces and great-nephews. He was affectionately known as “Uncle Dave” not only to them but also to their friends. He made everyone feel welcome and included, and he was always up for a trip to the park or to Dairy Queen. Many cherished family memories were created at his home, where he hosted camping on his property, lively Halloween parties, bonfires, and tractor and ATV rides. His door was always open.
David loved life’s simple pleasures and shared adventures. He enjoyed trips to the casino to play slot machines, friendly poker games, cruises, vacations, and visits to Walt Disney World. He found joy in the outdoors, especially hiking at Starved Rock State Park and taking luncheon cruises on Lake Geneva. He was almost always ready for a spontaneous breakfast, lunch, lasagna dinner, or casino outing; time spent with family and friends was what mattered most to him. He will be deeply missed.
A visitation will be held on February 27th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Proko Funeral Home, 5111 60th Street, Kenosha, WI, followed by a service and time of sharing memories from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m
