Daniel J. Modrijan, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at his home.
Born on June 24, 1949, in Kenosha, WI, he was the son of the late John and Stella (Bagdonas) Modrijan.
Dan loved fishing with his siblings, hunting, and participating in 4-H as a child. He was proud of his blue-ribbon heifer, Aggie, and carried a picture of his pig, Rooter, in his wallet throughout his life.
Dan retired from Chrysler (American Motors) after 30 years as a journeyman machinist. He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Parkside.
He is survived by his siblings, Betty Polovick, Stella (Frank) Mohan, and John Modrijan; 18 nieces and nephews, Wendy Modrijan, Michelle (Tom Segar) Modrijan, Stephanie (Bryan Tabrum) Modrijan, Stella Schindler, David (Jeannie) Schindler, Bryan (Amber) Schindler, Patrick (Silvia) Mohan, Elizabeth (Cindy Howes) Mohan, John (Stephanie) Mohan, Amanda (Michael) Higgins, Jen (Peter) Riemenschneider, Jason (Melissa) Polovick, Julie (Alan Fenske) Polovick, Catherine Polovick, Heather (David) Henderleiter Hosea, Rachel (James) Sneed, Nikki (Joe) Tyson and Ann Modrijan; 28 great nieces and nephews, and brother-in-law, Tim Henderleiter.
Along with his parents, Dan is preceded in death by his siblings, Cathy Henderleiter and Jim (Jan) Modrijan; brother-in-law, Louis Polovick; sister-in-law, Sharon Modrijan; and nephew Timmy (Nichole) Henderleiter.
A memorial visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be private.
