Cruz M. Guajardo, 67, passed away on June 3rd, 2025, at Froedtert Hospital, Pleasant Prairie. Cruz was born on May 1st, 1958, in Chicago, IL, to Raphael, and Rita (Martinez) Guajardo. Cruz lived most of his life in Chicago, and spent the last 19 years with his partner “Pinky” Brisbois in Twin Lakes.
Cruz was a loving son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin, friend, and “partner!” He graduated from St. Angela Grammar School, and St. Patrick’s High School, in Chicago. We all know he may have gotten the “Ruler” a time or two. He became a member of the Local 73 Sheet Metal Workers Union (Hillside) for 41 years. Cruz also attended the Milwaukee school of Engineering. This was a career that he was very proud to be a part of. Those who knew him well knew he was very intelligent. He was a major history buff, loved to watch Jeopardy, play Sudoku, and a big puzzle connoisseur. He was a great story teller with so many great stories to tell. He loved going on vacation road trips with Pinky, especially to family weddings, and reunions. He would give you his last dollar, and the shirt off his back if you needed it. Oh! and let’s not forget a White Sox and Bears fan. So many loved Cruz, he was a free spirit, and gentle soul, and will be truly missed.
Cruz is survived by “his girl, Pinky” Brisbois, his loving siblings; Raphael, Toni (Charles) Campbell, Irene (John Gawne) Guajardo, Michael Guajardo, Lisa (Jason) Douglas. He is an uncle to 17, and is a Great Uncle to 18.
Cruz is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Paul, and John Guajardo, and his sister Patricia Quane.
A memorial service will be held for Cruz on June 20th, 2025, at 4:00 P.M., at Haase-Lockwood & Associates Funeral Home and Crematory, 620 Legion Dr. Twin Lakes, WI., 53181. A visitation will be held at the same location from 1:00 P.M. until time of service. Haase-Lockwood and Associates are proud to have served the Guajardo family.
