Christine Louise Hill, 53 years old, of Kenosha, WI, took her first breath of Heavenly air on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Aurora Medical Center. surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with illness.
She was born on September 19, 1971, in Kenosha, WI. She was the youngest daughter of John and Adrienne (Lenfesty) Hix. Chris attended Kenosha schools, including McKinley Jr. High, Mary D. Bradford, and was a graduate of Christian Life High School.
On May 31, 2014, she married the love of her life, Lee E Hill, Jr.
Chris always tried to live her life to the fullest and give her family memories that would last a lifetime. She had a witty sense of humor and loved to laugh. She loved to sing and attend concerts over the years with loved ones, especially with Lee. She was selfless, courageous, STRONG, and kindhearted. She looked forward to annual family vacations, usually to the Wisconsin Dells. Her other hobbies included watching and reading biographies, collecting rocking horses and angels, baking several different types of delicious Christmas cookies for friends and family every year, decorating her front yard for Halloween, and passing out special treats to all the trick-or-treaters. She and Lee both shared a love for the Chicago Cubs and, thanks to her daddy, were die-hard Cubbies fans for life.
Chris was always smiling, no matter what she was going through and never tried to show her struggles (she considered Acts of Service and Gifting her love languages.) She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, planning get-togethers with her girlfriends, and hosting dinners for others in her home. She found great joy in hosting holiday celebrations like Scary Movie Night and her annual Christmas Eve party. Chris is survived by her loving husband, Lee; four children: Jessica O’Hora, Lennon Hix, Bella Hill and Leah Hill, her parents, John and Adrienne Hix; her brother, William Hix, her sisters, Jody (Jim) Peden, Michelle Moore; along with loving nephews and nieces; John (JJ), David, James, Eric, Josh, Justin, Jerome Jeremiah, Kaitlyn (KK), Najwa, Gabrielle.
A Celebration of Life for Chris will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd, at 1:00 p.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
