Barbara Alina Wroblewski, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 87, surrounded by loved ones. Born on January 29, 1938, in Poland. Barbara was known for her warmth, strength, and the unwavering care she offered to everyone in her life.
Barbara dedicated her life to family and friends. She was admired for her strength, generosity, and commitment to helping others. She found joy in attending concerts, plays, and dance recitals. Barbara donated blood regularly and gave back to the community in countless ways – if it was driving to run an errand or making sure Meals on Wheels were delivered for a friend. She especially cherished her Catholic faith, praying the rosary and singing in the church choir.
She is survived by her children: Eva (John) Maki, Lillian (Wojtek) Mering, Margaret LeMay, and Yvonne Jarmoc (Mike Lovelace). Her grandchildren: Daniel Mering, Desirae LeMay, Zachary Solarez, Michael Mering, Andrew Maki, Izabel LeMay (Kayvin McMath), Madeleine LeMay, Saffron Solarez, and Bret Lovelace, great-grandchildren: Claire Solarez and Mason Slatt, who will continue to honor her memory by living their lives with the kindness and integrity she exemplified. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Wroblewski parents, Maria Merkisz and Wladyslaw Merkisz, and a brother, Andrzej Merkisz.
A visitation will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 1, 2025, at St. Peter’s Catholic church, 2224 30th Avenue, Kenosha, WI 5314, followed by a funeral mass at noon. Burial will take place the following day at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Cudahy, WI, where Barbara will be laid to rest next to her husband and eternal soulmate, Edwin Wroblewski.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to Barbara’s best friend of over 65 years, Wanda Wielgat, and her daughter Eva, the care teams at St. Catherine’s Hospital, Grand Prairie Rehab facility, and Hospice Alliance. The family will plant a linden tree in Barbara’s honor to commemorate her love of nature and as a symbol of love, peace, unity, justice, and healing.
Barbara will be remembered for her generous heart, sharp wit, and giving spirit that she shared so freely. Her legacy will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.
