November 29, 2011 – January 1, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Anthony Steven McBride, who left this world on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the tender age of 14. Born on November 29, 2011, to Daniel and Alyse (Hessefort) McBride, our “Monster Man” was a bright and gentle soul whose presence brought joy, laughter, and meaning to the lives of all who knew him. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made will endure forever.
Anthony attended Jeffery Elementary School in Kenosha, Wisconsin, where he was surrounded by teachers, staff, and classmates who came to know and care deeply for him. He found happiness in simple but meaningful joys, including fishing, traveling with his family, and being mesmerized by aquariums. Listening to music, especially his favorite, AC/DC’s “Thunderstruck,” brought life and excitement to his soul. The bright, vibrant, flashes of color in Disney, DreamWorks, and Pixar movies brought comfort and light into his days and created memories his family will treasure always.
Above all, Anthony was deeply loved. He taught those around him the true meaning of patience, compassion, and unconditional love. His life, while filled with challenges, was also filled with tenderness, resilience, and moments of genuine joy. As his family mourns his passing, they also find comfort in knowing that Anthony is now at rest, no longer struggling, and gently at peace.
Anthony is survived by his loving parents, Dan and Alyse McBride; his siblings, Samaria McBride, Seth McBride, Siannah McBride-Radliff, Lawrence McBride, Sarah Smith, and Erik McBride; his aunt and uncle, Amber (Manny) Ramirez; his cousin, Bryce Ramirez; his uncle, Justin McBride; his aunts and uncles, Amber (Luke) Kotschi, Aaron (Nicole) Glembocki, Andy (Ashley) Glembocki, and Alby (Austin) Pauloni; many other cousins; his grandmother, Lisa Hessefort; and his grandfathers, Mike McBride and Bill Glembocki.
He was preceded in death by his beloved “Gramps,” Craig Hessefort, and his grandma, June McBride.
Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the life of a young man who will always be remembered for the love he gave and the quiet strength he inspired.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Make-A-Wish Wisconsin, 11020 West Plank Court, Suite 200, Wauwatosa, WI 53226 (https://wish.org/wisconsin) would be greatly appreciated.
Anthony will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him, and his memory will continue to bring comfort in the days ahead.
