Allen Darcey DeFord, 65, of Kenosha, passed away on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Racine, surrounded by his loving family.
Allen was born on December 18, 1959, in Kenosha, the son of the late Louis Vere & Virginia May (Tutlewski) DeFord Sr. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha. He was a member of the U.S. Navy. Allen married Candy Duerr on October 22, 1994, in Kenosha. He was employed as a farm hand in Kenosha County, worked for his ex-father-in-law, Herbert Brooks, as a route driver for the Kenosha News, and was also employed at various restaurants throughout the years. His hobbies included fishing & hunting, fixing cars, feeding the birds & squirrels, watching wrestling, cheering for the Packers, but most of all spending time with his family & friends, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Candy DeFord of Kenosha; children, Samuel (Ricky) Martin of Kenosha, Bridgette (Shawn) Bunch of Trevor, David (Kelly) DeFord of Kenosha, Darcey (Walker) Berthelette of Kenosha; brothers, Arthur & Lonnie DeFord of Kenosha; sister, Bonnie (Jason) McClay of MN; 17 grandchildren; Adara DeFord, Austin (Brianna Voilet) Bunch, Brianna Rochell(Leo) Gutierrez, Wyatt Bunch, Quinten (Caity) Bunch, Bryanna Bunch, Tyler(Madison)Ide, Elijah Kyle Martin, Jaiden Martin, William Martin, Jaiden Smith, Bianca Smith, Legend Smith; and 2 great grandchildren; Oliver Bunch and Aiden Gutierrez. Allen was preceded in death by his son, Nathen Paul DeFord, and brother, Louis DeFord Jr.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
