Ada Jean Wells, 72, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 2nd, surrounded by her loving family.
Ada was born on May 11, 1953, in Kenosha, WI. She graduated from Tremper High School in 1971 and attended St. Luke’s School of Nursing, where she earned an associate degree as a registered nurse. Ada worked until her retirement as an orthopedic nurse at Ascension Hospital in Racine.
On March 21st, 1980, Ada was united in marriage to Dan Wells. Her three favorite people were her husband and two sons, Danny and Andy. After her immediate family, Ada had an intense love for her father, Carlo Ricciardi; siblings, Carla, Lisa, Joe, Tina, Rhoda, and Rich; and her 15 nieces and nephews. Ada will also be sorely missed by her sisters-in-law, Kathy Kukea and Connie Wells.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marcella Ricciardi; niece, Sarah Destefano; and nephew, Chris Misurelli.
A memorial visitation will be held at Proko Funeral Home on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 p.m. A private burial will be held at St. George Cemetery. For those wishing, donations can be made to the American Lung Association in her honor.
