After a year of teamwork, community spirit, and cleaner streets, the Lakeshore Business Improvement District, Ktown Connects Podcast and Blue House Books invite the public to join the sixth and final Go Downtown Kenosha Clean-Up of 2025 on Saturday, October 11th.

This year, five successful clean-up events have already taken place, thanks to the efforts of hundreds of volunteers and the support of community partners including the Kenosha Trash Trotters, Soul Space KenoshaKtown Connects PodcastBlak Coffee KenoshaTrecroci Realty, Wooden Chair Antiques, Salon on Sixth, Sallese & Co., Visit Kenosha, the Lakeshore Business Improvement District, Chelsea Sallese, Bill Siel, Dennis DuChene, and Jeanette Kelly.

“Our community has shown up in such a big way this year,” said Donny Stancato, event coordinator and representative of Visit Kenosha. “Every single event proved that when we come together, we can create positive change—and this last clean-up is our chance to finish 2025 on a high note.”

The final clean-up kicks off with refreshments from The Sipster at 9:30 a.m. at Blue House Books, 5915 6th Avenue A. Giveaways will also be provided by Blue House Books and Ktown Connects. The clean-up itself runs from 10 to 11 a.m., with gloves, garbage pickers, and bags supplied.

“Downtown Kenosha is the heart of our city,” Stancato added. “By giving just one hour of your time, you’re not only helping keep our streets clean—you’re strengthening the sense of pride and connection that makes our city so special.”

Stancato also noted that community clean-up days have become a gathering point for residents and businesses alike: “We’ve had everyone from shop owners to families to groups of friends show up. It’s been inspiring to see people laughing, talking, and working side by side. That’s what these events are all about—community.”

Volunteers must be 18 or older or accompanied by an adult who remains for the event. Advance registration is encouraged so supplies and treats can be prepared: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/3THS7GC
