Sweet and easy-going cat has an independent spirit

By SAFE HARBOR HUMANE SOCIETY

Safe Harbor Humane Society is an open admission shelter and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that serves the Kenosha County area. Safe Harbor takes in over 3,300 animals each year and places the majority of these animals into good homes.

Oven is a 2-year-old spayed female. She was named “Oven” because she was pregnant upon intake (we named all of her babies after baked goods.) This lovely lady is so very sweet and easy-going.

Her foster mom wrote the following:

“Oven is one of the sweetest cats I’ve ever had the pleasure of fostering (and I’ve been at it for years!) She came to our home two days before giving birth, and stayed with us for about two months. She was so tender and sweet, both to her little ones and to us. She’s shy, but has an independent spirit. Being the independent type, she’d do great as the only pet. She’s kind of a queen that way, but a sweet one. (She looks pretty regal, too!) She loves to chat about anything, and most of the time she purrs when she talks. She’s not one to snuggle or demand lap time but she’s always up for pets from her humans. She’ll even let you pet her tummy! Oh, and don’t forget the Temptations treats. They’re her fave!

Oven is available for adoption with an adoption fee of $125 plus tax. If you would like to meet her, please fill out an application online HERE or stop by the Safe Harbor Humane Society, 7811 60th Ave, to visit her in person.
