Every day at the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha, a young person discovers their voice, their confidence, and their potential. For Janiya, a senior in our Teen Center, poetry became a powerful way to express her feelings. “I started writing poems in 7th grade because I needed an outlet—a way to talk about how I felt without actually telling anyone,” she shares.
For Halo in our Youth Center, the Club is a place of endless curiosity. “I like coming to the Club because I can learn about anything,” she says, smiling. Stories like theirs remind us that when youth are given support, safety, and opportunity, they flourish.
