On Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., Blue House Books welcomes thriller author Jessie Garcia for an evening celebrating her sophomore novel. Garcia will present and read from her latest release, The Fair Weather Friend. The event will also include an audience Q&A and a book signing.
The Fair Weather Friend centers on beloved Detroit TV meteorologist Faith Richards. Her sudden disappearance and death set off an investigation that uncovers long-buried secrets.
“I read Jessie Garcia’s novel, The Business Trip, in April, in anticipation of her panel appearance at Blue House Books’ annual Indie Bookstore Day Celebration,” said Casey Larsen, General Manager at Blue House Books. “I flew through it and absolutely loved it! It’s also the reason why I’m so excited that we’ll be welcoming Jessie back, this time for an event starring her for the release of her second novel, The Fair Weather Friend.”
